A clear explanation of what stays on your phone, what optional services receive, and the choices you control.

Who provides Keeplune

Keeplune is provided by Big Small Services, a sole proprietorship of Udit Gandhi in India. Contact: bigsmallservices1@gmail.com. Keeplune does not create a separate account on our servers. We do not operate a server that stores your library, and the app does not include advertising or advertising analytics.

What stays on your phone

Saved links, titles, descriptions, tags, notes, files, previews, voice recordings, and app settings are kept in Keeplune’s private storage on your device. They remain there until you delete them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall Keeplune. A small encrypted AI-result cache may keep save details for up to 30 days and Find results for five minutes; removing a ChatGPT connection clears that connection’s cache. File text extraction, image labeling, OCR, and video preview-frame analysis happen on your device. Voice recordings are not transcribed or sent to AI.

When you use ChatGPT AI

ChatGPT connection is optional. When you connect an eligible ChatGPT account and use AI, Keeplune sends the text needed for that task—such as captured source text, extracted document text, your relevant notes, your Find question, and small image previews—to OpenAI. OpenAI also receives the account and authorization information used for sign-in and a random installation identifier needed by the open-source connection. The app does not send full videos or access your ChatGPT conversations. Requests go directly from your device to OpenAI; Big Small Services does not receive your ChatGPT password or OAuth tokens. On Android, connection credentials are encrypted using Android Keystore and are excluded from backups. The app asks OpenAI not to store API responses for later retrieval (store: false), but this is not a promise of zero retention. OpenAI’s privacy policy, service terms, and your account settings govern OpenAI’s processing.

Websites and device services

When you save or refresh a link, Keeplune may send that URL to the original website or its public metadata services to retrieve a title, caption, or preview. Those services also receive standard network information, such as your IP address. If normal DNS lookup fails, Keeplune may ask Cloudflare and then Google’s encrypted DNS service to resolve the website hostname; it does not send them the URL path or your ChatGPT credentials.

Google ML Kit processes image, video-frame, and text inputs on your device. Google says its ML Kit SDK may separately send app and device details, installation identifiers, and performance or error metrics to Google for diagnostics and analytics; those metrics do not include the image or text being analyzed. See Google ML Kit Terms & Privacy.

Microphone, backups, and deletion

Keeplune requests microphone access only when you start recording a voice note. Recordings stay in app storage and are not sent to AI. A backup is a readable ZIP file and is not password protected; anyone who gets the file can read its contents. ChatGPT credentials are not included.

You can delete saved items in the app. Removing a ChatGPT connection clears its credentials and AI cache from this device, then tries to revoke access with OpenAI; if that cannot be confirmed, Settings tells you how to disconnect Keeplune in ChatGPT. Uninstalling the app removes its local library from the device. Keep a private backup first if you want to preserve your items.
